
KUALA LUMPUR: Eight stalls at Bazaria Wangsa Maju, Danau Kota Uptown, here were destroyed in a fire early this morning.
Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department operations chief M Letchumanan said in a statement that a call on the incident was received at 7.02am.
Letchumanan said two fire engines from the Wangsa Maju fire and rescue station as well as personnel from its Setapak counterpart were rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team found that the fire had completely engulfed eight stalls at Bazaria Wangsa Maju,” he said.
He said the operation involved a total of 14 personnel, with the fire brought under control within a few minutes.
No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
