Siti Khadijah described their zoo wedding as a memory she and her husband would cherish for a lifetime. “We are both animal lovers, so when Zoo Negara offered us the opportunity to hold our wedding here, we did not hesitate to say ‘yes’,” she said.
Siti Khadijah and Otto were also thrilled to interact with zoo visitors after the cake-cutting ceremony, as well as feed the zoo animals, including the star of Zoo Negara – an orange cat named Oyen which “resides” in the capybara enclosure.
Zoo Negara deputy president Rosly Ahmat Lana said the zoo welcomes anyone interested in holding their wedding ceremony there and hoped today’s event would inspire future brides and grooms.
