Missing teen Nurul Aishah found in Pahang, suspect remanded for 3 days

The 17-year-old teenager was found in a house in Triang, believed to belong to the suspect's relative.

Nurul Aishah Farhana Azni, who had been missing since Tuesday, has been found in Pahang.

Hulu Selangor deputy police chief Asri Yunus said a 20-year-old man was arrested in Triang, Pahang, earlier this morning on suspicion of abducting the 17-year-old girl, Harian Metro reported.

“The teenager was found safe in a house believed to belong to a relative of the suspect.

“The suspect is believed to have abducted the victim, who was facing family problems,” he said in a statement.

Asri also said that Nurul Aishah had been sent to the Kuala Kubu Baharu Hospital for a medical examination.

“The suspect’s urine tested negative for drugs and he has no previous convictions for any criminal activity or drug abuse,” he added.

The suspect, who is unemployed, has been remanded for three days until July 27 to assist in investigations under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Bernama previously reported that Nurul Aishah was last seen at a restaurant in Bandar Utama Batang Kali, Selangor, at 9.30pm last Tuesday.

Her father reported her disappearance to the Batang Kali police at 12.42pm yesterday.
