PETALING JAYA: The wife of Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan, Alena Omar, died this afternoon after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Alena breathed her last at 3.07pm at the National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya.
She will be laid to rest at the Sungai Sekamat Muslim cemetery in Kajang, Selangor, this evening.
In June, Wan Saiful revealed that Alena had been undergoing chemotherapy for colon cancer since 2020.
He had said then that the cancer had reached Stage 4 and spread to other parts of her body.
