PETALING JAYA:
Three police officers were among six men remanded on suspicion of stealing jet A-1 fuel from the police air base at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said a report on the theft was received on Monday, prompting the Selangor commercial CID to launch an investigation for criminal breach of trust under Section 409 of the Penal Code.

“Following the report, six men aged between 31 and 55 were arrested the next day,” he said in a statement.

The three policemen were stationed at the air base.

Hussein said the suspects appeared before a magistrates’ court here yesterday where they were remanded for two to seven days.

He said police were committed to handling the case impartially, adding that legal action would be taken if necessary, regardless of who is involved, to ensure justice is served.
