PETALING JAYA:
A 26-year-old civil servant has been remanded until July 22 on suspicion of being involved in the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, who went missing last week and was found dead yesterday.

Hulu Selangor sessions court judge Nurul Mardhiah Redza granted the police’s application for a one-week remand order, Harian Metro reported.

Investigations are being held under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Separately, Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the man was Farah’s boyfriend but said a motive had yet to be established.

Hussein added that the victim’s body was found at an oil palm estate in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor.

The man was arrested by police yesterday, not long after the body of 25-year-old Farah was discovered. She was reportedly murdered by someone she knew.

Farah, from Sarawak, was reported missing at about 2am on July 10 after delivering a rental car to a customer at Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor.
