PETALING JAYA:
DAP’s Seputeh MP Teresa Kok looks set to replace her party colleague, Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, as deputy chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

Based on the order paper for tomorrow’s Dewan Rakyat proceedings, a minister in the Prime Minister’s Department will table a motion for Kok to replace Wong as the PAC’s deputy chief.

The motion will be voted on by the MPs.

Wong, a two-term Kluang MP, was appointed as deputy to PAC chief Mas Ermieyati Samsudin in April last year.

Last month, Wong was appointed the chairman of Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp), an agency under the human resources ministry.

When contacted, Kok said her appointment was nothing extraordinary as Wong needed to focus on her new role as TalentCorp chairman.

FMT has reached out to Wong for comment.
