PETALING JAYA:
Police arrested five people, including two women, suspected to be involved in more than 15 cases of housebreaking in the Puchong and Subang Jaya areas.

Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said they had recovered some of the stolen items, such as watches and handbags, Bernama reported.

He said all the suspects had previous convictions for various crimes.

Wan Azlan said the success came after a 46-year-old woman reported to police that her house in Puchong was broken in on Thursday and valuables worth RM40,000 were stolen.

Following investigations, two men, together with their female partners, and another friend, all aged 22 to 32, were arrested around 8pm on Saturday.

Wan Azlan said all the suspects had been remanded for four days until Wednesday.
