MACC’s community education division director Nazli Rasyid Sulong said 2,332 people aged 16 to 40 have been arrested over the past five years for various corruption offences, Bernama reported.
He said everyone must prevent corruption from becoming a norm in society.

Nazli said the arrest figures showed that corruption was a serious issue among young Malaysians. “If this continues, what will happen in 10 years? By then, we may not be able to change anything because it could be seen as a norm or a normal part of life,” he said.
He said MACC is currently making efforts to educate young people, especially students, about the dangers of corruption. Nazli was speaking at a convention of the Anti-Corruption Students Force (Amar) in Melaka. Formed 17 years ago, Amar has held 2,988 programmes with 816,734 students with the aim of teaching youths to reject corruption.
