Shafee Abdullah informed High Court judge Ahmad Fairuz Zainol Abidin that the defendant, Najib, had further questions to ask Ismee, who previously testified from June 5 to 13.
However, lawyer Kwan Will Sen, appearing for SRC International, told the court that Ismee was not in Malaysia and would only be back on Sunday.
Fairuz then said the court would hear Ismee’s testimony on July 29.
SRC International is suing Najib and former CEO Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil for wrongfully receiving company property, and dishonestly and wrongfully conspiring to convert company property to their own use.
A judgment in default of appearance has been entered against Nik Faisal.
The suit originally included Ismee and fellow former directors Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi, Azhar Osman Khairuddin, Suboh Yasin and Che Abdullah @ Rashidi Che Omar as co-defendants.
SRC International later dropped the cases against them. However, they were added as third parties by Najib.
Earlier today, asset recovery specialist Angela Barkhouse affirmed that US$1.18 billion belonging to SRC International was transferred from Malaysia to offshore accounts between 2011 and 2012.
Lawyer Eolanda Yeo, appearing for Azhar, asked Barkhouse whether her client had played a part in sanctioning the transfer.
Barkhouse pointed out that Azhar had only joined SRC International in 2014.
