
EAIC chairman Ismail Bakar was quoted by BuletinTV3 as saying that the commission received 38 complaints on the immigration department, followed by the road transport department with 21 complaints.
Eighteen complaints were received on the customs department, followed by the fisheries department (16), the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (16), the national registration department (13), and the domestic trade and cost of living ministry (13).
“A total of 90 complaints have been addressed, with several recommendations implemented, including expediting termination of employment,” Ismail said.
Of the complaints received, 59 involved failure to act on reports and 37 were on failure to follow SOPs.
They also included 24 reports on abuse of power and 19 on corruption.
