Arvind secured the position uncontested during the party’s nomination process for its four wings yesterday.
In a statement released today, Arvind said he was committed to reaching out to youths in the Indian community and engaging them in open dialogue.
“I want to bridge the gap between MIC and Indian youths by actively listening to their concerns, aspirations, and suggestions.
“By fostering a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and accountability, we aim to rebuild trust and reshape the perception of MIC into that of a dynamic and progressive political force,” he said.
As part of his agenda, he also announced plans to launch the “Chief Vicky Academy”, an education centre aimed at raising the political literacy of Indian youths nationwide.
“Together, with the support of the youth and the broader community, we can revitalise our party’s image and strengthen our commitment to serving the needs of all Malaysians, especially the Indians,” he said.
Arvind had previously served as the MIC Youth secretary.
