GEORGE TOWN: A Chinese national drowned after falling off a barge while carrying out work at sea near Pulau Tikus here today.
Fire and rescue department commander Hairi Fazzil said a distress call was received at 8.14am about a man, Miao Baddong, 52, who had fallen into the sea while working on the barge.
The victim’s body was found at 2.54pm in the Pulau Andaman land reclamation area in Tanjung Tokong.
