In a statement, deputy domestic trade and cost of living minister Fuziah Salleh said the special discount card for traders taking part in the Menu Rahmah initiative was a “strategic collaboration” between the ministry and industry players to benefit Menu Rahmah operators nationwide.
“Among the items offered at discounted rates are raw goods such as chicken, onions, and other basic food items to help operators reduce the cost of preparing Menu Rahmah food items,” said Fuziah.
She said the move is to ensure the continuity of the Menu Rahmah programme and encourage more restaurant operators to participate in the programme.
“The ministry is committed to expanding and successfully implementing the Menu Rahmah programme to ensure low-income groups can enjoy dining out at affordable prices.”
