KUALA LUMPUR: Three out of the four operation theatres at the Serdang Heart Centre in Selangor will be operational for both elective and emergency surgeries next month.
This was confirmed by health minister Dzulkefly Ahmad in a brief post on X today.
“In the meantime, angiogram services at PJS and emergency treatment for patients will still continue as normal at Hospital Sultan Idris Shah (Serdang hospital),” he said.
The centre’s surgery complex opened in December 2022 but was reportedly facing several technical issues including electricity supply problems.
A meeting involving the contractor, the health ministry and the works ministry was held recently, where the contractor gave an assurance the damage and defects would be repaired by June.
