PETALING JAYA:
Four of the 15 people arrested in connection with the use of a gas stove to cook while gathered at a petrol station in Genting Highlands, Pahang, will be charged in court tomorrow.

Bentong police chief Zaiham Kahar said the three women and one man are aged 23 and 24.

They will be charged at the Bentong court under Section 336 of the Penal Code for endangering life or personal safety, Berita Harian quoted him as saying.

He said the 11 others who were released on bail will appear as witnesses.

Last Wednesday, police received a report about a viral video clip on social media showing a group of people cooking at the petrol station. The 50-second clip was uploaded two days earlier by vehicle owners who took part in the gathering.

Zaiham said police received complaints that these vehicle owners often gathered at the petrol station, which disturbed public order and caused a nuisance to other passing motorists.
