Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said anyone with information about an alleged cartel of top civil servants can take it to the related enforcement agency.
PUTRAJAYA:
The government will not interfere in any investigation into accusations that high-profile civil servants are involved in a government project cartel, government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said.

“There was no discussion in the Cabinet meeting about this, but generally, anyone who may have complaints or information about this can report to the enforcement agency concerned for action.

“If there is an investigation, the executive branch will not interfere,” Fahmi, who is also communications minister, said at the weekly press conference by his ministry after the Cabinet meeting earlier today.

Fahmi was responding to an allegation by X user @zeyhnnnnn that there was a “Kartel PTD” involving top government officials.

The user alleged that the cartel involving various ministries had taken up to 7% in commission from government procurement contracts.
