PETALING JAYA: Several areas in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur will face scheduled water cuts for about three days in June, says Air Selangor.
This is to enable maintenance and upgrade works to be carried out at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant.
The water cuts will start from 9am on June 5 and water supply will be restored in stages from 3am the next day.
“Full recovery of water supply is expected to be at noon on Friday (June 7),” it said in a statement.
Air Selangor said water tankers will be mobilised to affected areas, with critical premises like hospitals, funeral homes and dialysis centres prioritised.
It advised consumers to store water ahead of the water cuts and to use water prudently during the disruption.
