The Dewan Negara president’s office said Mutang was admitted to IJN as soon as he returned to Malaysia yesterday.
“The Dewan Negara president’s office urges all parties not to speculate or spread false information on his health status.
“His family thanks everyone for their prayers and appreciates the space and time given to them during this period,” it said in a statement.
Mutang had travelled to Azerbaijan to lead the Malaysian delegation at the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue from May 1 to 3 in Baku.
However, he had to be treated there for an illness before arriving back in Malaysia early yesterday morning for further treatment.
