PETALING JAYA:
Three individuals from an online “swinger group” have been arrested for allegedly selling pornographic videos online.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said it worked with the police to detain the trio in Kedah and Johor.

In a statement, MCMC said it arrested the trio following public complaints about a “swinger group” which promoted married couples sharing partners on social media platform X.

The trio, aged between 39 and 50, allegedly run the social media account on X.

“They were found with a large stock of pornographic videos. Their mobile phones, computers, and thumb drives were seized,” said MCMC.

It said the suspects would upload a short video clip containing pornographic material on X and then charge interested parties between RM100 and RM400 to gain access to the full version of the clips on Telegram.

The case is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for misuse of network facilities.

If convicted, the three face a maximum fine of RM50,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both.
