Police said the petrol bomb may have been thrown from a distance to avoid the attacker being shown on security cameras.
Earlier this week, a petrol bomb was also thrown at a KK Mart store in Bidor, Perak, at about the same time, but it did not explode.
The petrol bomb attacks have come after a campaign by Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh calling for a nationwide boycott of the chain. However, he has condemned the attacks, urging all parties to leave the matter to the police.
