Badrul Hisham appointed as JPN DG

He replaces Zamri Misman, who was transferred to the legal affairs division in the Prime Minister's Department.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Home ministry registration and organisation division secretary Badrul Hisham Alias has been appointed as the new director-general of the National Registration Department (JPN) effective today.

JPN announced the appointment to replace Zamri Misman, who was transferred to the legal affairs division in the Prime Minister’s Department on Feb 2.

Badrul Hisham, 52, had been in the public service for 27 years when he was first appointed as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1997.

He also served in JPN as the finance and development division director and identification card division director from 2015 to 2022 before going to the home ministry as the registration and organisation division secretary on July 18, 2022.

In a statement, JPN also announced the appointment of Sarinah Apisah as deputy director-general (operations) on Feb 26 to replace Saiful Yazan Alwi, who was assigned to the Malaysia Checkpoints and Border Agency.

“JPN expresses its appreciation and thanks to Zamri and Saiful Yazan for their contributions and service,” it said.
