GEORGE TOWN: Police have arrested two people who were seen kicking and throwing something, believed to be sand, at other motorcyclists on the Penang Bridge recently.
Seberang Perai Tengah police chief Helmi Aris said a man in his 50s and a woman in her 30s were nabbed earlier today.
Helmi said the couple would be investigated for criminal intimidation and reckless driving.
“They had three prior criminal records in 2021 and 2023,” he said in a statement.
He said the duo would be brought to the Bukit Mertajam magistrates’ court for a remand application tomorrow.
Earlier, a video of two people on a motorcycle kicking and throwing something at passing motorcyclists on the Penang Bridge went viral on social media.
