KOTA BHARU: A 98cm-long aerial bomb was found at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport construction site in Pengkalan Chepa here today.
Kota Bharu police chief Rosdi Daud said the 125kg bomb was found by workers carrying out drainage excavation works at about 9.40am.
The bomb was detonated by the Kelantan police headquarters’ bomb disposal unit at 3.20pm, he said in a statement.
The airport is expected to be completed in September.
