Sim announced this in a posting on X today, describing Yii as a young leader with a passion for serving the people.

Yii, of DAP, was previously a special adviser to then health minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, a post he was appointed to last April.

“Thank you for entrusting me with this opportunity. I will give my best for the ministry and nation,” Yii said in an X posting.

Yii, a medical doctor by training, received his letter of appointment from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today.
