Headless corpse washes up on Rantau Abang beach

Police say the victim died more than a week ago based on the body’s state of decomposition.

Police said the body was that of a man, but the identity remained unknown.
PETALING JAYA:
A headless corpse washed up on Rantau Abang beach in Dungun, Terengganu yesterday evening.

Dungun police chief Maizura Abdul Kadir said the body had already started decomposing and the clothes on the corpse were ripped, Harian Metro reported.

She added that the victim was a man but his identity remained unknown.

“The victim is believed to have died more than a week ago, based on the body’s decomposition. For now, the case has been classified as sudden death,” Maizura said.

The body was taken to Dungun Hospital for further investigation.
