The buyer, clerk S Nagakanni, said today that Perodua had “finally agreed” to purchase the Bezza from her. She had bought the car from a sales centre in October.
Perodua had said on Wednesday that it was investigating the complaint, with the company’s chief operating officer, JH Rozman Jaafar, denying that no action had been taken to resolve the matter. He said Perodua had offered to provide Nagakanni with a courtesy car and to buy back the faulty vehicle.
Nagakanni said Perodua had told her she will also be reimbursed for the monthly loan repayments she had continued to pay after the Bezza broke down.
“Perodua also offered to sell me another car with the same monthly loan repayment rate,” she said in a post on Facebook, adding that she had a week to decide on this offer.
Previously, Nagakanni voiced dissatisfaction over the way Perodua had been treating her complaint, saying she was still required to pay the monthly loan instalment of RM537 despite the car being stranded at a service centre.
The car was purchased from a Segamat vehicle sales centre at 11am on Oct 17, and by 7.40pm the same day, it encountered problems on being started.
