PETALING JAYA: A technician had his head crushed between the lift doors while working on a lift at a shopping complex along Jalan Burmah in George Town today.
Bernama reported that the man’s colleague, aged 53, was not hurt.
A spokesman for the Penang fire and rescue department’s operations centre said they received an emergency call at 4.45pm.
On arrival, they found the two lift maintenance workers trapped in a lift.
R Tinesh Kumar, 28, was found unconscious with his head stuck between the lift doors and he later died. His body was sent to the Penang Hospital.
