KLANG:
Aiman Athirah Sabu was retained as the Wanita Amanah chief at the party elections earlier today.

The deputy local government development minister has been the wing’s chief since 2019.

She retained the post after being selected by the 27 committee members, who were elected earlier by the wing’s 498 delegates.

Aiman came in seventh among the top 27 after garnering 312 votes.

Meanwhile, Selangor executive councillor Anfaal Saari was named the wing’s deputy, succeeding Norhayati Bachok.

Dr Hafidzah Mustakim, Salmee Said and Kamaliah Nordin were named as vice-chiefs.

After being reinstated as Wanita chief, Aiman urged the newly elected committee members to commit fully to the party as the responsibility at the national level was very demanding.

“It’s crucial we embrace the responsibility. Don’t just aspire to secure a post only to skip meetings after that.”
