In a Facebook posting, the man claimed that the boy had threatened to rape his daughter and her friends after they questioned the boy for purportedly staring at them.
“After that, they came across the boy again after school and said they would report him to the teacher. The boy then came close to her and (again) threatened to rape her if they lodge a report.
“My daughter, who was shocked, hit his arm with a water bottle,” he said.
He claimed that the boy then reacted by grabbing and jerking her head, tearing her veil, and hitting her chest before running away.
The father claimed that the teachers were lackadaisical in responding to the case and that one of them had chided him when he voiced his intention to file a police report.
“Do they want to wait until something nasty happens to my daughter before they take action?” he said.
Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed receiving the police report and said an investigation would be carried out.
In a statement, he said the case is being investigated under Section 1(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which deals with touching any part of a child’s body for sexual purposes.
Iqbal said the girl had received treatment at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
He advised the public not to jump to conclusions until the police had wrapped up their investigation.
