PETALING JAYA:
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan has told netizens to stop speculating on Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin’s death.

The body of the six-year-old autistic boy was discovered near a river close to his apartment in Damansara Damai here on Wednesday night after he had been reported missing on Tuesday.

The post-mortem found injuries to his neck and body, and the police have set up a special team to investigate the death, including possible murder.

“Following the police’s investigation into Zayn’s death, we have identified several comments and posts on the TikTok social media platform,” Hussein said in a statement.

“The public is reminded not to make any comments related to the case as it is still being investigated.

“Such comments not only create anxiety among the public but also hurt a grieving family which has lost a beloved child.”

Zayn was laid to rest at the Muslim cemetery in Seksyen 9, Kota Damansara, yesterday evening.

Some 200 family members and close friends as well as Petaling Jaya police chief Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid attended the funeral.
