WAO said it is facing a significant shortfall of RM350,000 crucial for the operations and shelter enhancements.
A recent operational vehicle breakdown has also added to its financial challenges, it said in a statement.
While the organisation has received some support from United Nations agencies, it said additional funding is needed to ensure the continuation of vital services, including its hotline and social work for women and children in crisis next year.
“We are reaching out to our local community, seeking partnerships and collaboration that can help us raise the necessary sum of RM560,000,” it said.
Contributions may be made to WAO’s CIMB bank account No 80-0238299-7. Tax exemption from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) is applicable for donations of more than RM50.
