
Menteri besar Nassuruddin Daud said the special payment, which involved a financial implication of RM18 million, will be disbursed in February.
He said the special aid was in appreciation of the service and contributions of state government officials as well as others who had helped in developing Kelantan with the utmost integrity.
“A special financial aid will also be given to political appointees, including councillors, heads of villages, halaqat, ICT coordinators for state constituencies, Armalah development coordinators, pondok teachers, quran and Fardu Ain teachers, as well as Mudaribbah teachers,” he said when tabling the 2024 Kelantan budget in the state legislative assembly the Kota Darul Naim Complex here today.
Nassuruddin said the budget focuses on five core areas – the empowerment of religion and education with an allocation of RM208.92 million, people’s well-being (RM375.61 million), progressive economy (RM349.7 million), environmental conservation (RM12.80 million) and ihtirafi (professionalism in governance) (RM21.85 million).
He said the estimated state revenue for 2024 is RM967.25 million, including tax revenue of RM224.94 million, non-tax revenue of RM364.05 million, and non-revenue receipts of RM378.26 million.
