PETALING JAYA:
Ismail Abd Muttalib (PN-Maran) is currently in intensive care at the National Heart Institute (IJN), according to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul.

Johari informed the House of Ismail’s condition before proceedings began this morning.

“Our friend, (Ismail), is in the intensive care unit (ICU) at IJN, so he cannot be visited. But let us pray that our friend will be well soon,” said the Speaker.

He provided no further details on Ismail’s medical condition.

Last Thursday, Kuala Sentul assemblyman Jasri Jamaludin paid Ismail a visit at IJN, saying at the time that the Perikatan Nasional MP was recovering well.

Ismail is formerly of Umno and has represented the Maran parliamentary constituency since 2004. He is now with PAS, having been sacked by Umno prior to the 15th general election last year.
