KUALA LUMPUR: National dancer Cherry Yeo Xiao Wei dazzled her way to three gold medals in the Mallorca dance festival in Spain over the weekend.
The 18-year-old came out tops in three solo female Latin disciplines and also won a bronze in the Mallorca festival’s adult solo female Latin discipline.
Four other dancers from the Kuala Lumpur Dance Sport Association also took part in the festival but Yap Wan Xin, Madeleine Lau Yu Xuan, Nicole Lim Le Wei and Taraneh Ahmadi Zeidabadi returned home empty-handed.
The association said in a statement today that Yeo’s outstanding achievement was due to the excellent guidance she received from her coaches, Chua Zjen Fong and Evon Chong.
