SHAH ALAM: More than 20,000 civil servants in Selangor will receive a bonus of two and a half months’ salary, paid in stages.
Menteri besar Amirudin Shari said the first phase of the special financial assistance (BKK), amounting to one month’s salary, or a minimum of RM1,000, was disbursed in conjunction with Aidilfitri earlier this year.
“The second payment of one month’s salary, or a minimum of RM1,000, involving a financial implication of RM40.03 million, will be disbursed on Dec 28.
“The remaining half-month salary payment, or a minimum of RM1,000, will be paid in February 2024 in preparation for the 2024 school session, expected to commence in March,” he said when tabling the 2024 Selangor budget here today.
Amirudin said the 2023 BKK is being paid to all employees of the Selangor state administration, including federally funded government service members.
