We refer to two news reports published on the FMT news portal titled “Group urges Anwar to intervene in 2 Selangor projects” (publication date: Apr 4, 2023) and “Selangor may fall if Amirudin is named MB candidate, warns Green Party” (publication date: May 21, 2023).

FMT wishes to clarify that the contents of both reports were premised entirely on media statements made by the secretary of Green Party Malaysia (GPM). We are informed that the contents of the reports are incorrect in so far as they relate to the redevelopment of the Shah Alam Sports Complex.

FMT has been informed that Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) was shortlisted by Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) following a tender process, pursuant to a “Request for Proposal” submitted by them for the redevelopment of the Shah Alam Sports Complex.

To avoid any confusion or misunderstanding that may arise, FMT is retracting both reports.
