Jagdeep is new Penang DAP deputy chief

The post was left vacant after P Ramasamy quit the party in August.

Penang deputy chief minister Jagdeep Singh Deo has taken over the state DAP deputy chairman’s post, which was left vacant after P Ramasamy quit the party in August.

Jagdeep’s previous post as state vice-chairman will now be helmed by Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim, who is also a deputy finance minister.

Meanwhile, Berapit assemblyman Heng Lee Lee takes over from Sim as Penang DAP’s publicity secretary.

The changes were announced by Penang DAP secretary Lim Hui Ying. Penang DAP will elect its new state leadership next year.
