Dodgeball coach claims trial to sexual harassment charges

PETALING JAYA:
A dodgeball coach pleaded not guilty in the magistrates’ court here today to charges of sexually harassing two students.

Terence Ee was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code with insulting the modesty of the male students, both 12, at a primary school in Damansara.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between November and December last year.

If found guilty, he faces a jail term of up to five years, or a fine, or both.

Magistrate Zharfan Rahim Hamzah allowed Ee to post bail of RM3,500 in one surety.

The court also ordered him not to interfere with the alleged victims pending the trial.

It also set Nov 29 as the next mention date.

Ee was represented by lawyer R Thrichelvam, while deputy public prosecutor Siti Maryam Jamilah Kamal appeared for the prosecution.
