PULAI:
Opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin has urged voters in the Pulai parliamentary by-election on Saturday to deny Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional of a two-thirds majority in the Dewan Rakyat.

A Perikatan Nasional victory in the by-election will ensure that PH-BN will not be able to act arbitrarily, he said at a ceramah here last night.

“They would be forced to negotiate with us as they would not be able to do as they please,” the Bersatu and PN secretary-general said.

PN’s Zulkifli Jaafar will face PH-BN’s Suhaizan Kaiat and independent candidate Samsudin Fauzi in the by-election.

Hamzah said PN was prepared to discuss issues with the government and wanted to play the part of a credible opposition.

He also said a win for Zulkifli would show the people wanted a “better future”.
