Brother-in-law nabbed after gang-rape report

Police say they are looking for four more men.

The suspect was arrested on Saturday night after the woman reported that she had been gang-raped by five men at her house in Wangsa Maju.

Police have arrested one of the five suspects implicated in the gang rape of a 27-year-old woman in Wangsa Maju last week.

Bukit Aman sexual, women and child investigations division (D11) principal assistant director Siti Kamsiah Hassan said the suspect, who is the victim’s brother-in-law, was arrested at 11.30pm on Saturday.

He has been remanded for six days for investigation under Section 375(B) of the Penal Code, she said, according to Sinar Harian.

Siti Kamsiah said the police are looking for the other four suspects.

Last week, Wangsa Maju police chief Ashari Abu Samah said a woman filed a report stating that she had been raped by five men at her house in Wangsa Maju.

The woman said she was woken at 3.30am on Aug 30 and her mouth was covered by one of the men.

She said the men also recorded the incident.
