
MELAKA: A trainee pilot suffered minor chest pains when the light aircraft she was operating lost control while landing.
Melaka Tengah district police chief Christopher Patit said the incident occurred at 12.16pm on Runway 21 of the Melaka International Airport.
“A 23-year-old female trainee was operating the Piper 28 aircraft belonging to International Aero Training Academy Sdn Bhd. The trainee pilot suffered chest pains in a landing mishap when it lost control during landing on Runway 21.
The aircraft was successfully removed at 12.50pm, he said, adding that the pilot reportedly suffered minor chest pains due to the impact. No police report has been filed with the authorities yet, he said.
