His death was confirmed by Pahang state assembly speaker Sharkar Shamsudin in a Facebook post.

“Johari was in the plane that crashed at Elmina, Shah Alam. May God bless his soul. Al-Fatihah,” said Sharkar.

Meanwhile, Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman said she was heartbroken to hear about the death of Johari, whom she described as her friend.

Earlier, police said 10 people were killed in the crash, including eight on board the plane.

The driver of a car and a motorcyclist were also killed after being hit by the crashing plane.
