
Ten people, including a state executive councillor, were killed when the light aircraft, operated by Jet Valet Sdn Bhd, crashed at 2.50pm today.
The victims comprised six passengers and two crew members of the plane, as well as a motorcyclist and a motorist using the highway there.
The plane departed from Langkawi International Airport at 2.08pm and was heading to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang when it crashed.
The Beechcraft 390 has a maximum speed of up to 840kph and is designed to carry six passengers and one flight crew member at a time, with a maximum flight distance of 2,500km.
