The government has denied a viral post on a purported one-off RM500 additional cash assistance.

In a statement, the communications and digital ministry said the public should refer to official sources from the finance ministry for verified and updated information.

“The finance ministry stresses that the information is false, and the public is advised not to be easily deceived and to always be cautious of unverified links,” it said in a statement.

The viral message stated that Malaysians can claim the additional RM500 aid by clicking on the given link, https://bantuankerajaanmly2023.my.id/3/.
