Annuar said such claims had cast doubt over his integrity.
“I shall keep to my word. He sues me and I will sue him back for claiming I had emulated Hadi after joining PAS,” he said, referring to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
Lim had claimed that Annuar took a leaf from Hadi by making baseless and wild claims.
In response, Annuar said Lim’s claim was baseless. “I hope he is prepared to defend himself,” he said at a Perikatan Nasional ceramah in Jempol.
On July 9, Lim threatened to sue Annuar for linking him to the May 13 racial riots and citing a book of Lim’s speeches, including one where Lim was “still fanning the flames for Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera issues” in Sabah.
Lim said on Friday there was no such book, and that it was a “figment of Annuar’s imagination”, but the latter said he is standing by his claim.
Annuar last night said he had received a letter of demand from Lim, calling for an apology and withdrawal of his remarks.
However, Annuar said he had no problems repeating the allegations so Lim could use it in court.
“I won’t be cowed when I am threatened. And I will furnish proof that DAP played the racial card when campaigning,” he said.
