KUALA LUMPUR:
To commemorate Hari Raya Aidiladha, Prolintas provided qurban meat to 600 families in need, who are residing near the concessionaire’s six highways in the Klang Valley.

Prolintas CEO Azlan Abdullah said this initiative is just one of the company’s continuous corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, under its community core, which aims to alleviate the burden of those in need during this festive season.

“Prolintas is always concerned about the welfare of the community. On this occasion of Aidiladha, we share our blessings by distributing qurban meat to less fortunate families, as we are encouraged to do so in Islam.

“We have worked with residents’ associations to identify families who are truly in need,” Azlan said.

Prolintas employees distributed qurban meat to residents of PPR Desa Tun Razak.

He added that the distribution of qurban meat takes place in multiple stages during Aidiladha and Tasyrik, which includes reaching out to 100 families each in the PKNS Flats in Kampung Baru near the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway; PPR Taman Bukit Subang near the Guthrie Corridor Expressway; the Taman Sri Lembayung Flats, Seksyen 25, Shah Alam, near the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway; Kampung Sungai Ramal Dalam near the Kajang SILK Highway; Gugusan Semarak, Seksyen 4, Kota Damansara, near the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Highway; and PPR Desa Tun Razak near the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway.

The process of slaughtering and handling the qurban meat was a collaborative effort involving congregants from local mosques and suraus, as well as representatives from each subsidiary of Prolintas.

After the meat was prepared and packaged, it was distributed to the families on the same day.
