Sulaiman Taib sues stepmother

The third son of Sarawak governor Abdul Taib Mahmud is reportedly unhappy over a share deal.

KUCHING:
Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib has filed a lawsuit against his stepmother, Raghad Kurdi Taib, according to The Borneo Post.

The report said the suit was over the transfer of shares of a private company to Raghad.

Sulaiman is seeking an injunction to prevent it.

Sulaiman is the third son of Sarawak governor Abdul Taib Mahmud.

According to The Borneo Post, the next mention of the case has been fixed for Monday before High Court judge Alexander Siew.

Sulaiman, a former deputy tourism minister, is managing director of Cahya Mata Sarawak Group.

His mother, the late Laila Taib, died in April 2009.

Taib married Raghad in December the following year.
