Man shot dead at mobile phone shop in Bandar Sunway

PETALING JAYA:
A 32-year-old man was shot dead at a mobile phone accessory shop in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, earlier today.

Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said they were alerted to the incident at 1.35pm by a member of the public.

He said officers rushed to the scene to find the victim sprawled on the ground, bleeding.

“The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Serdang Hospital. He had previous convictions for theft and robbery,” he said in a statement today.

Wan Azlan said three men of unknown nationality entered the premises, and two of them opened fire at the victim.

He also said police found empty bullet casings and bullet fragments at the crime scene.

“The case is being investigated under the Penal Code for murder,” he said.

Azlan also called on members of the public who have information on the incident to come forward.
