PETALING JAYA: Ninety-nine areas in Selangor are expected to face water cuts due to a burst pipe at Jalan Bukit Cerakah in Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor.
The water supply disruption is expected to take place from May 22 to 23 in Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor.
In a Facebook post, Pengurusan Air Selangor (Air Selangor) said water supply is expected to fully recover by 9pm on May 24.
“The emergency repair works involve a main distribution pipe with a diameter of 2,200mm and a large-scale distribution area. Therefore, the repairs and recovery will require a longer time.
“However, if the leak is found to be critical, then the repair works will commence earlier,” it said, adding that updates will be provided from time to time.
Consumers have been advised to call the Air Selangor contact centre at 15300 for any further inquiries.
